It seems the entire SWG forum has posts scattered throughout it mentioning how full Starsider is becoming. I know, I know you guys have started your characters already and are making good progress and you don't want to switch servers. However, I think it may be a good idea to consider the option of switching to a less populated server now before we all start having problems logging in everyday. Starsider afterall is the unofficial roleplay server on the east coast so more and more people are getting in everyday...increasing the server load more and more each passing day during every time zone. Kyle and Pod have already experienced problems trying to log on. I don't see the problem getting any better...only worse.

At any rate it might be a good idea to think about switching now before we get too attached to our characters. After all we've only been playing them for one weekend so far. Don't be too pissed at me bringing this up, believe me we'll be more pissed if we can't play because the server is full when we want to play.

Server caps (I pay but can't play)

Boy did I ever underestimate the popularity of Starsider

So is anyone else as pissed off as I am

Starsider's popularity and the naming policy

I certainly can understand the character attachment. I feel like it has taken forever to get Eng 4, but when you step back and look at it, it has really taken about 2 days. If we are going to switch we REALLY need to do so within the first week. If the majority is in favor, then you definitely have my vote to switch. In a month we won't remember our old Chars. I think this is definitely an issue we need to discuss now.

Well it seems starsider has hit its population cap now. The SWG starsider boards are filled with complaints atm because of it.

I think it would still be a good idea to decide on an alternate server to play on. As is a player locked server is a bit too limiting for my taste. After all if any more FJB decide to start playing SWG they won't be able to get in (unver, scrotie, werd, Cosmic, Neo, Masquerade).

I think that the general consensus is that no one wants to move. Hell, I don't want to move either, but Grax is bringing up a very valid point. This is definitely something that needs to be discussed; simply saying "I'm not moving" isn't the right attitude.

The second this turns into the server-hopping, guild-jumping bullshit that happened in AO I am done with SWG and probably FJB. Lets get this right the first time, move or not.

If we do decide on moving it would be a good idea to choose one that is not "unofficially" designated anything.

Well as things are settling down there are a bunch of PAs still leaving Starsider. And with their leaving it will open up a bunch more spots for new player creation. More so when a few more new servers are up. So I highly encourage you, if you are thinking of getting SWG and want to play on Starsider to start thinking about picking up SWG soon. Hopefully they'll be opening up a few more unofficial roleplay servers so then would be the time to get SWG if you haven't already done so.

This is for those of you that haven't been on lately but have been checking the status of this problem.

Well it seems the population lock has been lifted on Starsider for the moment so for anyone wishing to join us on starsider now is the time. Just be sure to try to create your character during a non peak time say around 3-4 am est just to be on the safe side.

Neofight was able to get a character created on Starsider just a few days ago. So you can create new characters on Starsider now. For now the need to discuss this matter isn't necessarry since there should be room for all of us to be on the same server.
