Spices 101 by Magna or if you're too impatient just read the main point.
Some spices boost stats immediately, others take from 1-5 minutes to build up to their full maximum potential - kind of like a regen. Because spices boost stats they can be used as a heal if you think you're in danger of being incapped. Just use the appropriate spice that boosts the stats that're drastically low. Spices also stack with foods & that's a BIG plus - however they don't stack with other spices. Again, all spices have their downer side which usually involves a minute or two of puking, major decrease in the stats that particular spice buffed. Some of the higher level spices can scare you if it's time for the downer to hit & you're still in combat because those buffed stats can hit rock bottom when the spice effect time is up. At that point you're vulnerable so it might be nice to have a little timer nearby so that you know how much time you have left before the downer hits. Shooting & puking don't work well together! It takes from 1-5 minutes to fill your stats up again depending on the spice. The bigger the boost in stats, the more drastic the downer. I just picked up a set of vibro knucklers the other day (only weapon usable and still considered unarmed). They seem to do quite well but the special move costs are a bit high. I could really use some more powerups for my pistol and some for my vibro knucklers(melee weapon).
My unarmed fighting skill is almost as high as my pistol skill now. Only around 60,000 more xp in unarmed and pistol to get pistol specialist and master unarmed. Then I'll be working on just the pistol requirement for Smuggler. I'm beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. It won't be too much longer till I'll be making spice and slicing. If any of you guys find any sealed containers, please hold on to them for me. I need enough sealed containers to get 5000 slicing experience. That will take a while I think. Because of this I'll probably be concentrating mainly on spices and dirty fighting until I find enough containers. |

I did some more testing with vibro knucklers and berserk. My God vibro knuclers make a huge difference. I actually took out a red con rebel around 4 am est when they finally reset starsider and I was able to get on. I'm one hit killing most things and taking less damage because I'm killing faster. I'm actually having some fun with unarmed now lol.
