I finally ordered the new parts for my computer. Thanks to Razel or masquerade and also some super reviews from HardOCP I got the following.
Asus A7N8X AMD Athlon XP 3000+ w/400mhz FSB Corsair 512MB Dual Channel DDR400 and a bunch of other odds and ends. |

Same setup as me but I got 1gig of the Corsair. I haven't bought the processor yet (I think I'm going to give it to myself for Christmas).

Actually, I was re-reading your post and it's not the same. I actually got an Asus nForce2 board (forget the model number here at work). As for the processor I was going to hold out until the last second and get whatever 400mhz Processor is fastest at the time within my price range. I'll probably buy it right after AMD does their next round of price drops.

I am donating my old parts to a server so I can separate the voice chat server from the one I try to serve games on. I think that Pod is beyond help.
