If ya havent heard about the space shuttle columbia , then ya really need to watch the DAMN NEWS..

this morning the shutle fell apart on reentry over TEXAS, to anyone that knew them, or just cares, our prayers go out to there families and friends..

As I and many Americans im sure, hold there breath for news as to why and IF, i hope that we donot give up or in to anything.. Those that died today are a reminder of what we as mankind have achieved in whole and what we someday hope to achieve.

They reached to the stars only to fall back to earth, but let them give us HOPE to always remember to live a day at a time and never stop reaching, for one day we will reach whatever it is we tried to reach for...

I know this is sorta speechy , but to me this means alot, It is the second time we as Americans have had to see a shuttle break apart, and see again 7 men/women die achieving there and our dreams..

To all those out there with dreams , never fall short, never look back, and never fear what may be , because if you do you will have already have failed and made your own fall back to Earth...

GOD BLESS AMERICA AND HER HEROS!

I agree Pod. I actually wanted to take a break from the news a little bit so I took a drive around to see if I could see any debris or anything. An apartment complex not to far north of me burned down this morning because (supposedly) it was hit by debris.

I am sure a lot of us have had (or have) dreams of going into space and so I am sure we have a great deal of appreciation for what these things mean. I have stood outside several times before to watch the shuttle fly over, including one time that I got a very close look of it piggy-backing the 747 as it flew into DFW for a refuel.

It makes me happy to see people come together in times like this, as with 911, even though things seem to be at their worst. At the same time, it makes me sick to my stomach to know that &$#%ing stupid asses have already been on eBay trying to sell pieces of the shuttle. Nothing makes me want to kill people more than hearing stuff like that. Fortunately, eBay has had enough decency to stop those auctions. Sick %&*#ers.

I don't know how many of you saw this but this is an image from the Doppler Radar in Shreveport (east of Dallas).
