I must say, the darkness + headphones cranked up at high volume beat the shit out of doing it with System Shock 2. Its a miracle I didn't die of a heart attack. They should take this engine and make a System Shock 3.

Elzzar General Posts: 94	Posted on Tue Aug 3, 2004 6:09 pm Heres some things you can add to the doomconfig.cfg to make it run smoother and look better. seta image_cacheMegs "XXX" Set the "XXX" to 1/4 your total Ram. This helps a shitload if you get pauses when you enter doors and large rooms. seta com_videoram "XXX" Set the "XXX" to how much Ram your video card has. r_gamma 1.3 Makes the game look a little bit lighter Hope these settings help you guys enjoy Doom3 more. In your DOOM 3 directory, find "DoomConfig.cfg" (x:\\Program Files\\Doom 3\\base). Open DoomConfig.cfg in Notepad. Find the line: seta image_cacheMegs "32" Change it to 512.

And umm..... this certain level..... that I dont want to say because it would be a spoiler. The gamma thing really takes away from the fucking amazingness of that level.
